Sue Rist (sueristimages) > Moxxi and her ball - Not being one to ever give up on something, I went back out yesterday to get the action shot of my filly playing with her ball. I got a couple, but I really liked this one of her and her Papa facing off. I like the suggestion of intent........

Thank you for yesterday's comments about Moxxi, she is definitely a little diva!
Sue Rist (sueristimages) > "Moxxi" Our yearling filly.
We gave her a ball last night, she started to play with it and I dutifully went out with the camera for some great action shots. They were all less than perfect, so I got frustrated and went into the archives and found one of her when she was about a month old. Back to the drawing board!

Sue Rist (sueristimages) > A Man & His Buddy, we met them yesterday at the dump. His name is Echo and he is a faithful companion to his owner Bob. He has saved Bob many times from coming too close to a rattlesnake, he can just sense them! Bob was so proud of Echo. 2-16-13

Thanks so much for the positive comments yesterday on my Balloons, made it to the first page! We secretly don't like the balloons because they scare the horses!
Sue Rist (sueristimages) > The balloons were going up right as we were going out the door to work yesterday. So I grabbed the Behemoth, my Nikon D2Xs, that I'm afraid of, and snapped a few. I got lucky and didn't have to try and push any of them buttons or turn any of them knobs! LOL......I like the rising sunlight on the balloons. 2-15-13

Thanks for the feedback on my Cactus Heart, I really enjoyed looking at all the great Valentines pics, can't wait for the next holiday!
Sue Rist (sueristimages) > Cactus Heart
It maybe a little banged up, scarred, dirty, broken....but whose isn't? Love is what you make of it and hopefully this little prickly heart will make you stop and think that nothing is ever perfect, especially love. So, to my "Other Half", in the immortal words of Billy Joel, "I love you just the way you are"! Happy Valentine's Day, Babe 2-14-13
Sue Rist (sueristimages) > Tortellini - It's what's for dinner. I'm kinda liking this daily thing, it's almost like a pictoral diary. Twenty years from now I can look at this picture and know what I had for dinner on this date in history! 2-13-13

Thank you for the comments on Desert Rocks and Old Tree yesterday. The tree was once a formidable old Cottonwood, but has long since died and it's form has survived many attempts at eradication. I guess in a sense it's a survivor.
Sue Rist (sueristimages) > "Desert Rocks" We live not too far from Saguaro National Park West. It's a beautiful place that I don't get to often enough, another reason I joined the Daily Forum. This shot is from a while back, but at least I have found the motivation to dig it out, dust it off, and put some words to it! It was rainy here in Tucson yesterday, which hopefully makes for some mountain snow shots! 2-12-13
Sue Rist (sueristimages) > Skull Beads on display at the 2013 Tucson Gem & Mineral Show. Even though they came in many colors, I thought they looked better in the 'au natural state. Skulls are a popular item in the tents, so much so we have started buying one each year we go. This year it's Goldstone, hope to get a pic up soon! 2-11-13

Thanks everyone for the comments and feedback on "Meep, Meep" and "Golden Dream" yesterday, I am so honored that you like my photos!
Sue Rist (sueristimages) > "Golden Dream"
1953 Mercury Monterey from the Tubac Car Show last weekend. The weather was perfect, minus a little dust that everyone was feverishly mopping and ragging off of their "Babies". The sun was starting to set on this beautiful old Mercury really highlighting it's iridescent gold color. 2-10-13

Thank you for the great comments on Roadrunner and Flame Thrower yesterday. Roadrunners don't have that name because it's cute, they like to move and I felt blessed that he let me fumble with the camera long enough to get a couple shots!
Sue Rist (sueristimages) > "Meep, Meep"
When we arrived at our account in Green Valley, AZ yesterday, this enterprising fella was pecking around by the back door looking for pecans that had fallen from the tree. Green Valley is the pecan capital of Arizona. I grabbed 'Ol Faithful and went in for the shot. Roadrunners are quite comical, they stop briefly and raise tail and head feathers in their whimsical way. No PP on this one, straight out of the camera! 2-9-13

Thank you for the comments on my Amethyst In Newspaper shot yesterday, appreciate the feedback very much. I've tried many times to capture the Amethyst attractively! I'm finally getting this Daily thing figured out.
Sue Rist (sueristimages) > "Amethyst In Newspaper"
Another from our Gem Show jaunt. The Amethyst geode cathedrals are spectacular and are usually packed in crates for protection, as they are long and cylindrical. They travel many miles, mostly from South America, I think, until they are purchased. 2-8-13
Sue Rist (sueristimages) > "Predator"
Spent our day off yesterday at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show at Tucson Electric Park. Gem is a misleading word because there are so many other things to see and buy there. This tent was full of metal sculptures made by artists from Thailand. This paticular one was about seven feet tall and quite menacing. 2-7-13
Sue Rist (sueristimages) > "Headed Out"
Found this little guy, correction big guy, heading out from his hiding place. Southern Arizona is teaming with insects and a Tarantula has gotta eat too! 2-6-13
Sue Rist (sueristimages) > 1952 Kaiser-Darrin. The doors slide forward into the fenders. Made in America! Only 435 were made before the line was terminated in 1954. Another from the Tubac car show last weekend. I like it.
2-5-13
Sue Rist (sueristimages) > "Quanna"
We were doing one of our customer's yards today, an elderly lady whose companion is Quanna, a dog she rescued from in front of a Safeway. She loves watching us through the sliding glass door. 2-4-13
A Man & His Buddy, we met them yesterday at the dump. His name is Echo and he is a faithful companion to his owner Bob. He has saved Bob many times from coming too close to a rattlesnake, he can just sense them! Bob was so proud of Echo. 2-16-13
